The Texas Police Chiefs Association (TPCA) and President Carrie Ellis have officially appointed San Juan Police Chief Leandro Sifuentes as the new Region 12 Director.

With 12 years of dedicated service to the San Juan Police Department, Chief Sifuentes is a leader deeply committed to our department’s advancement. His leadership has been instrumental in making our mission to ensure a stronger, safer community for all, and we are confident he will excel in his new capacity as TPCA Region 12 Director. In this role, he looks forward to serving as a strong voice and representative for the police chiefs and public safety leaders throughout Region 12.

Driven by the belief that public safety thrives when law enforcement leaders collaborate, exchange best practices, and leverage their shared expertise, Chief Sifuentes is committed to fostering a legacy of communication, innovation, and unity across the region. In his new role as Region 12 Director, he will focus on advancing professional policing standards while strengthening partnerships among regional police leadership.
