Sanitation
The primary responsibility of the San Juan Sanitation Department is to collect, clean and, recycle solid and liquid waste generated by residential, and commercial users in the City of San Juan.
Serving over forty thousand residents with dedicated professional, technical, administrative, craft, clerical and, service personnel, our department protects the public health and environment and enhances the quality of life in the City of San Juan's neighborhoods.
Services the Sanitation Department offers to residents:
Garbage Collection
Brush & Debris Pickup
Maintenance of Streets & Alleys
Recycling
Holiday Closure: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
All city offices, including the Waste Collection Site and Transfer Site will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day.
Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, January 17th.

NO CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS. MUST PRESENT A CURRENT WATER BILL WITH AN ID OR DRIVER’S LICENSE.
